#7 Scott Redden’s Race Report from ARL round 2 at AMP
After having a tough start to the season by breaking a thumb in practice at round one and missing out on all the points, Scott came back in round two. After having the cast and pins removed on Wednesday May 11 Scott got to work putting preparing for round two. Saturday practice and qualifying were a little off of Scott’s pace because the thumb was still a little tender. He still managed to place 8th in AM-600 and 8th in AM-Superbike. The AM-Open race was held Saturday afternoon and girded by last round points, so starting at the back of 15 riders Scott finished 7th. Sunday race day brought much better times and the following finishes:
AM-600 6th place with a best last time of 14.242
AM-Superbike 5th place with a 14.453 best lap.
All in all a very successful weekend for returning after an injury. Look for lap times back down to the norm next round with maybe a 12 something in the mix.

[08/14/2007] We just finished unpacking from a successful weekend at the 2007 National Superbike Races at AMP. We qualified 14 out of a field of 34 and finished 13 in the National 600 super sport race. In AMCRA superbike, I wasn't able to qualify and had to start on row 9 at the back of the pack. I worked my way up through 14 riders to finish 11. All in all it was a great weekend of racing.
[08/10 /2007] We have upgraded our race bike to a 2006 GSXR 600 and we are looking forward to see how the new wheels will treat us at the 2007 National superbike race this coming weekend. Wish us luck.
[05/18 /2007] We had a great time at round one. I was able to manage a lap time of 1.16015, and thanks my volunteer pit crew Pat Patterson and Ryan Coveyduc for all their help. Clint McBain the #9 national Superbike champ was on hand to show everyone how to make your way around the track at a 1.09.
Come out and see all the action for round two. June 16/17.
